Basheshwar Mahadev Temple
Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is a very famous temple known for its sculptures and stone carvings and is just 4 Kms from the Bhuntar Airport. It is also called as Visveshvara Mahadev. The temple is assumed to have been built in the 8th century and is the largest of all the stone temples in Kullu.




Jagannath Temple
Jagannath Temple is a must see attraction to visit while planning your trip for Bhuntar. It is located on a hill, just 3 Kms from Bhuntar and the way to the temple is quite steep. The temple is situated at an elevation of 5000 ft above the sea level.




Vaishno Devi Temple
Since the year 1986, when the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (commonly called Shrine Board) was formed, the management of the Shrine and regulation of the Yatra has been vested in the Board. The Board has undertaken a number of developmental activities aimed at making the Yatra a comfortable and satisfying experience for the Yatris. The Board continues to reinvest the offerings and donations received in carying out improvements in various kinds of Yatri facilities.


The Great Himalayan National Park Located in the vicinity of Bhuntar in Kullu, the park is also known by the name of Jawaharlal Nehru Great Himalayan National Park and is spread over a large area. Coniferous forests, snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows covered with flowers and glaciers can be seen in the park. It also serves as a shelter to varied animals like Himalayan musk deer, brown bears, black bears, rhesus macaques, langurs and wild sheep.


Kaisdhar
Kaisdhar is located in the district of Kullu, close to Bhuntar. The place is identified for its deodar trees and meadows and is a popular picnic spot visited by numerous tourists.

The festivals in Bhuntar are celebrated with great delight and religious sentiments .The festivals here are extremely colourful and their celebrations exude a sense of unity and feeling of brotherhood.

Diwali

One of the most important festivals of Hindus, Diwali, is also well known by the name of “Festival of Lights” or Deepavali. It is celebrated in the month of October or November. Diwali in Bhuntar is celebrated with great pomp and show. Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped on this festival. It has its own Domestic Airport named as Bhuntar Airport or Kullu Manali Airport. This Airport is well connected to many major cities like Dharamshala, Chandigarh, New Delhi and Shimla. Bhuntar airport is currently not in service.

It is 11 Kms from Kullu, 50 Kms from Manali, 60 Kms from Mandi, 105 Kms from Rampur, 195 Kms from Shimla and 210 Kms from Baddi. Bhuntar is well connected by the cities like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu through Himachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (HPSRTC) and some private travel services.
